Library Labels and a Giveaway!

I can't believe how fast this summer is flying by! I've been super busy with weddings, vacations, and of course the Las Vegas TPT Conference! What an amazing experience! I had a blast and left incredibly motivated by the many wonderful educators who presented!

I'm finally now starting to get into back to school mode and decided on a new theme for my classroom! I'm moving into a new room so I decided on a fresh start! I'm going with chalkboard theme mixed with neon colors and I'm throwing some bright chevron in the mix of course! I created some new chalkboard themed labels for my A-Z leveled library bins and posted them on sale as of last night! Check them out by clicking below if you love chalkboard or bright colors like me!

I also gave some posters a little makeover to match my bright colors and have added them in polka dots to a giveaway I'm part of.

You can check them out by clicking them or better yet, enter the amazing giveaway below by another fabulous blogger! There are a bunch of amazing prizes up for grabs, including several gift cards so check it out below:

Wanting: This weather has been so crazy! It is never in the 90s by the beach and it has been almost all week! Also, I'm just addicted to ice cream.

Needing: SLEEP! This has been a crazy week filled with birthdays, a wedding, and going out of town. This girl is tired!

Surprise: Not only is this teacher an amazing blogger and teacher, but she has been so kind and helpful to me lately! Go check out the wonderful Anchored in 3rd Grade!

I want my Top 30 sellers to get love as well. ***If you enter all three giveaways, you only need to do Ramona Recommends stuff once.***The 3 Winners will be announced and emailed that weekend (possibly Monday). Those three winners will receive emails from the donors with the birthday present they won. For example: If Rita Book entered Birthday Present 1 and WON, she would get all those treats only. So! March Fun

I can't believe March is already almost over! This month has been packed with some fun activities for my students so I thought I'd share some of them. One activity that I had them do were Leprechaun Limericks. My students always love writing these because they end up hilarious! Check out the kiddo below….

I had them write their final drafts on these shamrocks and they ended up making a super cute bulletin board.

To get in the spirit of March Madness, we also did a little Tournament of Books. I created a shared Google Doc that the kids could use to keep track the top favorite books that they have been reading this year. This made it very easy to choose our top 16 for the tournament. The bulletin board ended up being huge so I just took a picture of the left and right sides below.

As students finished the tournament books, we voted on their favorites! This ended up being a fun activity for our whole grade level. Which book ended up winning? Wonder, of course! I'm so glad we did this activity because many students ended up choosing books to read that they never would have picked up before! I really suggest doing this next March if you haven't!

I also have my students fill out their own March Madness brackets since we are having many more college discussions as we try to get them "college ready". I've been using this great product by Kristine Nannini and the kids LOVE it! The picture is linked to her store if you want to check it out.

The last March activity that I love having my students do is my March Math Task cards. This is a great St. Patrick's Day math activity and it can be used as a "Scoot" or as centers. They are in black and white so you can just print on colored card stock if you want, and you are set! It comes with 60 task cards that give a mixed review that is great for test prep! It also has a student recording sheet as well as an answer key. I have a 3rd grade version and a 4th grade version. I'm putting these both on sale for the next three days if you want to scoop it up for next year! Clicking on the product below will take you to it in my store.

Now I'm off to watch basketball! I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I also wanted to tell you about a SWEET giveaway I'm part of that Easy Teaching Tools is hosting! There are a bunch of great February products listed below that are part of the giveaway! You can stop by her blog or enter below through mine!

We just celebrated the 100th day of school and we had a blast!  This packet was the best because it was engaging, covered ELA and math CCSS {plus a little PE}, and was a great independent activity.

Task cards are the best.  They get kiddos moving around while keeping them engaged.  These cover 2nd grade ELA CCSS.
Jen's amazing task cards are almost zero-prep., which I love.  I can only take so much laminating and cutting. These are great for 2nd and 3rd graders who need as much reinforcement they can get with regrouping.
I love all of Jamie's products, and so do my first and second graders.  These Valentine's Day and President's Day themed centers are perfect for any primary class.

Heather's products are always great and easy to use.
Angie, from Lucky Little Learners has another fun activity that's best for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders.
Kelly Anne has the best activities for the big kids.  These look awesome for math centers and early finishers.
How talented are my friends??? Cassandra created an adorable multiplication sort, great to practice math facts.
I can't wait to buy these!
Serena, my most favorite Instagrammer from New Zealand has been making the most adorable clip art the last few months. Grab these for your Valentine's products and activities for you classroom.
All of her products are engaging and get the kids moving.  Use these for centers or the scoot game.
I've met so many innovative teachers thanks to Instagram.  Jen is a teacher from Alaska, yes, Alaska!  She makes the sweetest clip art that I love using in all of my products.  These lovebots are a favorite of my students.
